You are warmly invited to join us for a Sivananda yoga Special!
On Sunday the 12th of June we’ll get together for an XL Sivananda class, in which we practice breathing exercises, the sun salutation, the 12 basic postures plus variations, and a deep relaxation: a wholesome practice to rejuvenate body and mind.
After the class we’ll have a short break with a snack and tea. The afternoon will be concluded with a heart opening Kirtan (mantra chanting) guided by the sounds of the harmonium.

* Experience with Sivananda yoga (or chanting) is not required.

Mirjam & Sanne
Sivananda yoga is based on the teachings of Swami Sivananda. This style of yoga has its roots in Hatha yoga and a has strong focus on physical and mental health. In a regular Sivananda class we practice pranayama (breathing exercises), sun salutations, 12 basic postures and an extensive final relaxation. The class involves regular periods of relaxation in between asanas, resulting in a deep sense of well-being.
In an XL class we deepen our practice by taking more time for each part of the class, as well as practicing variations on the basic postures.
Sanne participated in a Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Course in 2013 (together with Mirjam). Soon after, she started teaching the Sivananda practice. In the years to follow, she participated in several trainings such as the Art of Meditation, Yin Yoga, and a Yoga Therapy course.
Besides the physical postures (asanas) of yoga, Sanne’s classes always focus on meditation and relaxation. In order to create space for what arises in the moment, be it physical, emotional or mental. Mirjam is an experienced teacher, coach and founder of L!cht Yoga & Coaching. She encourages her student to observe the present moment in an open and gentle way and knows how to inspire her students in a way that goes beyond the yogamat. Her intention is to give her students an experience of value and tools to feel more light and at ease in daily life. She offers yoga courses, mindful walks and programs for spiritual growth and personal development. Teaching Sivananda yoga is her home base, where her yoga journey initially started in 2013.
